The CellaTemp® PX 29 is equipped with a special blocking filter and sensor. This means that the measurement is not influenced by daylight or laser radiation. The CellaTemp® PX 29 is also much less sensitive to reflected radiation from hot objects in the environment than conventional short-wave pyrometers. The combinability of the assemblies and optics results in 24 device variants. In combination with the attachment lenses, very small objects from Ø 0.3 mm can be detected. Due to the large measuring ranges and the numerous optical variations, the CellaTemp® PX 29 can be used for a wide variety of applications in the metalworking industry. Among other things, it is used for temperature measurement of aluminium and bare metals at low temperatures. Due to the blocking filter, the CellaTemp® PX 29 is also suitable for measurement in processes where diode, Nd:YAG or CO₂ lasers are used for heating without the high energy of the laser influencing the measured value. This means that the pyrometer can be used in PVD (physical vapour deposition) coating processes.
